I am a writer and reporter based in Washington, D.C. I cover the politics of identity, land and religion, Congress, and climate change. I've produced work about Palestinian farming practices in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, coastal land loss in Louisiana, Puerto Rico's energy crisis, ex-coal miners turned activists in West Virginia, and, extensively, the rollback of environmental regulations under the Trump administration. I am currently freelancing after spending a year on the Dorot Fellowship in Israel. I was previously a staff writer at E&E News. My work has appeared in TIME, Salon, Science Magazine, Jewish Currents, +972 Magazine, U.S. News & World Report, The Miami Herald and more. I hold a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University.
